Mr. Electric installed 2 outdoor ceiling fans, and replaced an outdoor GFCI at my house in April of 2024. Although Home Depot offered ceiling fan installers, I decided to hire an electrician because I was looking for a company to replace my go-to electrician of ten years who had recently retired. Although the work was satisfactory, the installation exceeded the quote by quite a lot. The electrician had a helper for the ceiling fan installation who pretty much didn't know what he was doing. I called the office to speak with the owner, but I never received a call back. Mr. Electric of Dallas was very expensive and failed to meet my expectations so I will not use their services for my current job or for any electrical work in the future. Maybe this was a one-off for Mr. Electric of Dallas.

Travis was polite and efficient ! The only concern we have is the price for replacing one circuit breaker and checking two outlets was very pricey costing well over $400 for this service.

The electrician was incredibly kind and did quick work! However, when we called and scheduled the appointment they stated their would be a $60 visit fee. When the electrician arrived he stated to assess the problem it would cost an additional $200! We reluctantly proceeded as we were without power to our kitchen. After he assessed the problem it turned out we just needed a GCI outlet installed and that was quoted at an additional $300. We were in a bind and did not have the luxury to pay $260 and not have any work performed. All together, we paid over $500 to move an outlet 8 inches and install a GCI outlet which is the incredibly high. Be warned that while their electricians seem to do good work that you will be paying top dollar to get it done.

I paid $420 for a double 20 circuit breaker replacement to give you an idea of prices. That's with a 10% discount. Eventually found out after the install, the problem wasn't the circuit breaker. Make sure you get a second opinion before going here or be at peace with what you pay and get. They were really quick to respond. My electrician said that he charges $400 per hour with a minimum charge of one hour.

Had some issues that I was not satisfied with, but the owner reached out to help get the problems resolved.

Another baker brothers- refuse to give any ballpark of pricing. They come out to give you a bid and then charge a fee for showing up.

Even though I got a so-called discount it was still very expensive

I called cause my AC was out and the switch that turn it on had melted. So, it was an emergency. Advertising only says 24 hours emergency electrician. I filled out a form online and also called and left a VM. It took over 2 hours to get a call back. I would otherwise give a perfect 5-star but for that. If you advertise that you provide emergency services, then you should return calls ASAP.

Mostly positive experience with a much longer timeline than I expected. I had a few well known electrical companies and one independent electrician provide quotes on a project to install a 60A sub-panel in a small backyard workshop. The cost to have an electrical company dig a 100' trench for the conduit was a tad bit outrageous ($1600 - $3500 for the trench), so I outsourced that part to a local contractor to save some money. After the trench was dug, Mr. Electric started work in early December and installed the sub-panel in less than a day, which was fantastic. I called the day after the work was completed to ask about the timing of the inspection and was told that they would handle it and get back to me. I didn't think much of it and left on vacation for a week. Called them again in late December and was told that they were working on it and that technically they had "6 months to complete the inspection". I'm not sure who would be OK with that kind of delay, but I certainly couldn't wait that long to forge ahead with my project. I gave it another week for them to schedule and called back again, this time strongly insisting that they send out the master electrician and inspector as soon as possible. Busy schedules pushed out the inspection two weeks and the inspection passed on the second attempt. Start to finish, it took 7 weeks to install the sub-panel and have it inspected. We were dealing with the holiday period and I'm sure a very booked schedule from the City of Dallas and Mr. Electric, so I'm sure that had something to do with the delays. With that said, I hope the company is able to provide more expediency with scheduling their inspections for future customers. Cheers, -Kevin
